On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, Scientific and Technical Library G. Denisenko NTUU"KPI" has prepared its own program of honoring the memory of the great Ukrainian artist, and gave an overview of the most interesting books about it.

"A talented person is talented in everything" - these words were heard repeatedly during the opening ceremony of the exhibition of watercolors of Sergiy Spitz, which opened on May 16 at the Art Gallery named G. Synytsi Cultural Arts Center.

"Looking to Europe, we found Ukraine" - this expression, we nearly winged, residents of Ukraine, can be applied in many situations. The last time the phrase come to mind during the grand event, which took place in Kiev 13th time - by grand parade in embroidery.

May 21 a charity event "Japan Day" organized by the University in conjunction with the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine and Ukrainian-Japanese Center of NTUU "KPI" took place at NTUU "KPI".

May 13 photo exibition "Maidans and the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. 2004 - 2014 " has been opened in the lobby of the housing №7 of NTUU "KPI".

In the G. Synytsia Art Gallery of NTUU “KPI” the exhibition of the artist Stanislav Voytsekhovsky went off with great success.

-I congratulate you with a purely Ukrainian holiday - the birthday of the Kobzar. I am not sure that there are nations that celebrate the birthday of the poet, - by these words Vitaly Ivashchenko started his speech.

Given the fateful and tumultuous events in Ukraine, we see that Shevchenko, as this tragic new-found Heavenly Hundred of modern young heroes of proud and invincible country who died on Independence Square, lives among us, adds boldness and confidence in dealing with our overt and hidden enemies .

Monument to Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv has long been the center of all activities associated with the name of the Great Ukrainian and at the same time one of the symbols of the capital.

Publishing the first T.Shevchenko’ “Kobzar” collection was published on 18th of April, was the memorable event not only in ukrainian literature history but in the Ukrainian people consciousness history too.
