May 21 a charity event "Japan Day" organized by the University in conjunction with the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine and Ukrainian-Japanese Center of NTUU "KPI" took place at NTUU "KPI".
May 13 photo exibition "Maidans and the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. 2004 - 2014 " has been opened in the lobby of the housing №7 of NTUU "KPI".
In the G. Synytsia Art Gallery of NTUU “KPI” the exhibition of the artist Stanislav Voytsekhovsky went off with great success.

Given the fateful and tumultuous events in Ukraine, we see that Shevchenko, as this tragic new-found Heavenly Hundred of modern young heroes of proud and invincible country who died on Independence Square, lives among us, adds boldness and confidence in dealing with our overt and hidden enemies .
Monument to Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv has long been the center of all activities associated with the name of the Great Ukrainian and at the same time one of the symbols of the capital.
Publishing the first T.Shevchenko’ “Kobzar” collection was published on 18th of April, was the memorable event not only in ukrainian literature history but in the Ukrainian people consciousness history too.

On March, a solemn meeting on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko has been held at 12 NTUU "KPI". This meeting was the first event in a series of evenings, competitions, exhibitions and presentations scheduled at the University for the next two months.
Among the many editions of "Kobzar" by T.H. Shevchenko there is one that draws attention. His first miniature edition of 1000 copies was printed in Geneva 1878, format 55 x 85 mm, in Ukrainian. It was printed in printing house "Community."
