We are proud to announce that our university has been granted membership in the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence, a global organization that defines standards for academic rankings and promotes the principles of transparency and academic excellence.
A delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Gurban oglu Mardaliyev visited Kyiv Polytechnic to deepen existing and establish new areas of cooperation with our university. On 19 September 2024, a commemorative plaque with the inscription in Ukrainian and Polish ‘Grapes planted in 2022 on the centenary of the KPI Pupils’ Section in Poland’ was unveiled on the wall near the building No. 6, which was made in Poland and brought to Kyiv on the initiative of the long-time chairman of the Section, Doctor Emeritus of KPI Janusz Fuksa.
Vice Rector for International Relations, Andrii Shysholin, represented Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) at the IREG 2024 international conference, titled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) altering Higher Education and Rankings.” The event took place on November 7–8 at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania.
On 12 September, the Second meeting of the Joint EU-Ukraine Committee of the Horizon Europe and Euratom programmes took place in the innovative shelter ‘CLUST Space’ of the KPI Scientific and Technical Library.
An informative meeting of Alexandru Victor Mikula with students of the Faculty of Sociology and Law (FSP) took place. They talked in a question-and-answer format about the most important issues of today: European integration, Ukraine's accession to NATO, and relations between Ukraine and Romania, a neighbouring country that has been actively supporting the sovereignty and integrity of our country since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Social protection, veteran policy and development of inclusiveness at the university. Kyiv Polytechnic plans to implement crucial social projects together with the Ukraine Task Force (UTF) of the Florida State University (FSU).
Ten years have passed since the launch of the international project of organizing children's recreation for KPI employees in Poland - “Children's Poland”, as it is called by the employees of our university. In 2014, our children first became participants in a recreational and educational program organized by the Warsaw University of Technology.
On September 19-20, the international conference “Stimulating Economic Recovery: Scaling the Experience of Digital Education in Higher Education Institutions” was held at the H.I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
For me, this academic mobility was unexpected, because I applied for the programme through a call for applications, and it happened just a week before the event. However, this spontaneous decision brought me a very useful experience.
