Kyiv Polytechnic carries out international project to boost resilience of local communities

The National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" in partnership with the Poznan University of Technology (Poland) has launched a large-scale international project entitled "Community Empowerment: Crisis-Ready Solutions". Funded by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme (NATO SPS G6119), the project is intended to strengthen the resilience to crisis challenges of local communities in Ukraine and Poland.

NAWA Solidarity with Ukraine project with Warsaw University of Technology

The conference “WUT for Ukraine - Insights from NAWA Projects” was held in Warsaw, dedicated to the completion of a two-year project organized and implemented by Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute together with the Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska), as well as partners of the ENHANCE alliance with funding and support from NAWA (NAWA Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej) under the Solidarity with Ukraine program.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute expands cooperation with Azerbaijan

A delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Gurban oglu Mardaliyev visited Kyiv Polytechnic to deepen existing and establish new areas of cooperation with our university. The following issues were discussed:

Pupils of the Junior Academy of Sciences future and current students of KPI

Every year, school graduates - participants and winners of national and international competitions and Olympiads - join the student community of Kyiv Polytechnic. Among the most active are students of the Polytechnic Lyceum of NTUU “KPI”. The newspaper “Kyiv Polytechnic” has repeatedly told about lyceum students-inventors - pupils of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences, who later became students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and their mentors. We continue this good tradition.

On the environmental consequences of the war in Ukraine: From the Forum in KPI to the Seminar at the UN Headquarters

The issues raised at the forum and in its Declaration were also discussed at the seminar “Environmental Security during War and Armed Conflict” held on November 6, 2024, at the UN Headquarters and dedicated to the International Day for the Prevention of Environmental Exploitation during War and Armed Conflict. It focused on the environmental consequences of the war in Ukraine.

On 19 September 2024, a commemorative plaque with the inscription in Ukrainian and Polish ‘Grapes planted in 2022 on the centenary of the KPI Pupils’ Section in Poland’ was unveiled on the wall near the building No. 6, which was made in Poland and brought to Kyiv on the initiative of the long-time chairman of the Section, Doctor Emeritus of KPI Janusz Fuksa.
