Inclusive education is a component of the humanitarian policy of every modern state. It proves to what extent the society protects inalienable human rights, which is now gradually entering the educational process in Ukraine. According to the international norms and standards, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute aims to provide a fair chance to quality education for all students.

Today, our University gives students with disabilities the possibility of comprehensive professional, intellectual, social, and creative personality development. Moreover, they receive full support from administration, teachers, and the help of psychologists, doctors, and social workers. Inclusive education brings diverse groups of youth to the class and allows them to grow side by side to the benefit of all.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Implements Inclusive Approach

The mission of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is to give students with disabilities a quality education, develop their skills and realize their full potential. The inclusive approach values the unique contributions of students of all backgrounds. The University ensures students’ training based on personally-oriented learning methods.

Under the Laws of Ukraine “On Education”, “On Higher Education”, “The Procedure for organizing inclusive education in higher education institutions”, and other normative acts, our University has developed “the Regulation on the organization of inclusive education Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

A Working Group on inclusive and digital education has been created to ensure all equal opportunities for studying at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

In case of assistance and psychological support, students can always address the Office of Social and Psychological Work of the Student Social Service and get a professional consultation from a psychologist.

External Cooperation. Participation in Projects.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has a significant research base and is also doing scientific and technical research. Our University is engaged in developments in various fields and spheres. Recently, our University began cooperating with the National Council for Digital Accessibility sponsored by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Jointly with the government and profile organizations, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is engaged in a strategic solution of creating equal access to technologies for all Ukrainians. The University also analyzes the existing software and develops new software for people with disabilities.
