On May, 14 a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma of "Honored Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine" Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute ", a mantle and a memorable sign to the Honored Professor of Material Science, founder and director of the Institute of Nanotechnologies of A.J.Drexel University (USA), a doctor of technical sciences Yuriy Heorhiyovych Hohotsi was held at the meeting of the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky KPI.
On December, 4 at the meeting of the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute a solemn ceremony of awarding the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montenegro Predragov Milovich with the diploma "Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and a mantle and a memorial sign.
On October, 2, in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the KPI was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma “Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, a mantle and an honorary badge for the well-known Polish public and state figure, founder and president of the Polish Educational Foundation “Perspektywy “, a true friend of Ukraine, Valdemar Siwinski.
On September, 4 in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the KPI was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma “Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, a mantle and a memorial sign to the famous Polish scientist, rector of the Warsaw Polytechnic Jan Schmidt.
KPI academic community has expanded with two new honorable doctorates. Sergii Kravchenko, vise-president of Boeing International Company and Volodymyr Kulchytskyi, business development director at Progresstech-Ukraine, the head of board of directors, received the honors.
The dean of Mechanical Engineering faculty of University named after Otto von Guericke in Magdeburg, Carl Heinrich Grothe, one of the honorable scientists became member of the honorable Doctors of faculties and institutes of NTUU “KPI”.
On September 23 this year an old friend of our University Mr. Janush Fuksa was 80.
November 3, at the meeting of the Academic Council NTUU”KPI” the well-known scientist, NAS of Ukraine academician, director of the Frantsevich Institute for Problem of Materials Science NASU, Valery Volodimirovich Skorohod was awarded the attributes of the Honorary Doctor of the University.
