In the Igor Sikorsky KPI series of trainings "Data Science Bootcamp" were held from August 12 to 19, 2017

Means of computer technology have appeared for a long time. Originally, they were counting sticks and pebbles (in Latin - calculi), subsequently the abacus and counters appeared.

“The third place” is a very popular concept today. It is a place where person wants to go rather than come back home. This is a place to which people hurry in after their work. Is a library a third place where anybody can find book, work or hobby?

At the beginning of the new school year in the hall of rare and valuable documents of G. I.  Denisenko the Scientific and Technical Library opened the exhibition "Physics through the ages".

Modern information and communication technologies provide scientists around the world with enormous opportunities for publication of scientific research results, exchange of information, development of international scientific contacts.

KPI Library is open to partnership and is ready to support educational initiatives. So in 2016 cooperation with nationwide educational fund BrainBasket started. It deals with the development of education in the IT sector in Ukraine.

The chemical branch of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute was opened in 1898. His first dean became the famous chemist Mikhail Ivanovich Konovalov (the one who discovered the "reaction of Konovalov").

One of the evenings of a series of cultural and educational activities that are usually dedicated to outstanding personalities of Ukraine or Poland took place in the Scientific and Technical Library of National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikors

On March 1, 2017, Vasyl Herasymovych Dryhailo turned 80 years old. For 50 years he has worked at the Scientific and Technical Library of our university, 25 years - as the Director. V.H.
