On September 2, 2017, at the Znan Square, cadets of the 2nd year of the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky" swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
On September, 9 was held a demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony of art of the Shado (“The path of tea”) in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”
On September, 4 in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the KPI was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma “Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, a mantle and a memorial sign to the famous Polish scientist, rector of the Warsaw Polytechnic Jan Schmidt.
On September 4 the solemn opening of the reconstructed and refurbished fountain took place at KPI Museum Square in front of the monument of the KPI Professor, academician Eugene Paton.
On the 30th of September a traditional holiday "freshman day" was hold in KPI. Almost 5000 girls and boys took part in the ceremony of dedication.
On July 28, the 5th Economic Forum of Ukraine-Korea "Economic Cooperation in the Context of Euro-Asian Integration" was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute n.a. Igor Sikorsky".
July 20, Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, visited the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".
The flag, which Kyiv Polytechnic associates, who have been at war, and have brought it through fire and battles, was presented as a gift for the university.

Minister on issues of temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced people of Ukraine, Vadym Chernysh, pro-rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute for academic work, Petro Kyrychok, dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Law of the university, Andrii Melnychenko and head of Department of Sociology, Professor Pavlo Kutuiev took part in the meeting.
