In spring 2018 died a scientist-metallurgist, a teacher Yuri Nykonovych Moskalenko.

Honorary title “Honorary Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine” was given to Artem Artemovych Khalatov by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No.188, dated June, 27, 2018, “On Celebration of the State Awards of Ukraine on the occasion of the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine”.

By the Presidential Decree No. 139/2018, the State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of science and technology in 2017 were awarded. Among the awardees were the employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

       We live in the world of communication, as up to 70% of entire time people spend on communication: writing, reading, speaking, listening. Only communication provides the transmission of information and ideas.

The VIII International Professional Competition for Teachers of the University “Pedagogical Discovery: University – 2018” announced the prize winners. Among them were the teachers of Igor Sikorsky KPI.

Today, the world needs breakthrough energy technologies based on the fundamental and new achievements of physics, mathematics, thermodynamics and other sciences. Young researchers and students are actively involved in this work.

Historically in the Ukrainian society a woman is assigned not only the traditional role of mother. Quite often, the mystical image of the great defender, the spiritual mentor of the Ukrainian people - Oranta - is at the forefront.

Time passes by fast. Realities and priorities change. For example, metallurgy of the last century was associated with heavy and dangerous men's labor. Today scientists who explore and rimprove metallurgical technologies are often fragile girls and elegant women.
