In November 2018, Inna Yuriyivna Bilous, Assistant of the Department of Heat Engineering and Energy Saving of the IEE, was awarded a scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists. The staff of the department is proud of their colleague and consider such recognition absolutely deserved.

Our Inna Yuriyivna is a bright example of purposefulness and persistence for many KPI students: coming from a small town in the Kirovohrad region, she and her sister at the age of 12 went to study at one of the best lyceums in Kropyvnytskyi. In the big city, the girls lived and studied independently, without adult supervision. Then I.Y. Bilous entered IEE, which she graduated in 2013, receiving a master's degree with honours. At Kyiv Polytechnic, Inna Yuriyivna has gone from a student to a specialist in the field of energy efficiency, works as a teacher, enjoys respect and credibility among students, she is a very responsible and attentive curator. In addition, the direction of scientific research of I.Y. Bilous devoted to the study of energy efficiency of buildings, is extremely relevant today.

IEE teachers mention her as an intelligent, attentive and thoughtful student who took an active part in student life and scientific and practical work at the department. Even then, she carried out energy audits of the buildings of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the academic buildings of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, performed research and wrote articles on energy efficiency. In her master's thesis, she investigated the impact of operational factors on electricity consumption (on the example of the campus of our university). Scientific works of I.Y. Bilous were three times awarded with diplomas of the winner at all-Ukrainian competitions of scientific works and once with the UNIDO certificate.

In 2013, I.Y. Bilous entered graduate school. Her research work is devoted to the construction and development of models for the analysis of energy performance and forecasting the thermal state of the building as an energy system. The obtained results are aimed at improving the law framework of Ukraine for assessing the energy efficiency of buildings. The Specialized Academic Council accepted the dissertation of I.Y. Bilous, performed under the guidance of the head of the department prof. V.I.Deshko, for defence. Defence is scheduled for February 2019. The practical significance of this work is confirmed by five acts of implementation from relevant organizations.

I.Y. Bilous is the author of 47 scientific works, which include: three scientific articles in journals included in the international database Scopus, 6 - in foreign publications, 16 - in professional publications, one - in a collective monograph, and the young scientist has a certificate of copyright registration for a scientific work.

Inna Yuriyivna conducts scientific and pedagogical work at the department, actively involves students in scientific activities (14 scientific papers were published in co-authorship with students and masters), which increases the level of research work of the university. In addition, laboratory workshops and practical classes for four disciplines studied by students who study "Heat Power Engineering" and "Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics" were developed on the scientific topic of I.Y. Bilous. Diploma works of bachelors were defended under her scientific guidance and scientific work, which won the All-Ukrainian competition "Youth - Energy of Ukraine-2017", was also done under her guidance.

Assistant I.Y. Bilous conducts active methodical and organizational work, she is responsible for the educational direction and takes an active part in the work of the scientific circle of the Department of Heat Engineering and Energy Saving (TE). She is a member of the Scholarship Commission of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute IEE,  provides support and maintenance of the CAMPUS system.

Inna Yuriyivna has a light, friendly character and true leadership qualities, for which she is respected and valued at the department. The students taught by Inna Yuriyivna speak of her as an attentive, diplomatic in communication, professional teacher who is ready to provide effective assistance to future power engineers.

It is remarkable that in a relatively short time after graduating from the university, graduates of Kyiv Polytechnic have such high scientific and professional achievements. And the example of Inna Yuriyivna Bilous confirms this. We wish our colleague the realization of all creative ideas and success in teaching and research.
