Press-conference “Ukraine will be training conflict management and mediation specialists” was hold in June, 6 in Meeting Room of Academic Board of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute. Minister on issues of temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced people of Ukraine, Vadym Chernysh, pro-rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute for academic work, Petro Kyrychok, dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Law of the university, Andrii Melnychenko and head of Department of Sociology, Professor Pavlo Kutuiev took part in the meeting.

VII scientific and practical conference “Legal regulation of public relation in the context of democratization of Ukrainian state” took place in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute on 18-19 May.

Since 2005, the Department of International Economics launched a series of conferences "International scientific-technical cooperation", held annually in the KPI n. a. Igor Sikorsky in early spring.

December 16 the IX Interuniversity scientific practical seminar on the topic Actual problems of historical disciplines teaching in higher education" was held in the convention hall of the Administrative Board.

In October, 4 in NTUU "Igor Sikorsky KPI" there was a lecture of well-known economist, professor, Erik Reinert on the topic of "Strategy development for Ukraine in the course of economic ideologies changes".

VI International scientific and practical conference “Historical sociology of civilizations: the modern among democracy and inequality” started its work in NTUU “KPI” in May, 30.

On April, 19th the head of Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Hrytsak, talked with NTUU ‘KPI’ students, presented photo exhibition and signed the memorandum about the scientific and technical collaboration between the Service and NTUU ‘KPI’.

On the last day of winter celebrations on the occasion of awarding master’s diplomas to foreign nationals, graduates of the Faculty of Management and Marketing and the Department of Sociology and Law "KPI" were held.
