Presentation of the Training program for specialists of "Ukroboronprom" on the "Management of the military-industrial complex"

On February the 26th in the Igor Sikorsky Kyi Polytechnic Institute occurred an official opening of the Training program for specialists of "Ukroboronprom" on the "Management of the military-industrial complex".

The ceremony was opened by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the State concern "Ukroboronprom", Mikhail Zgurovsky, rector of the Igor Sikorsky Kyi Polytechnic Institute Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Pavel Bukin, Director General of the State Enterprise "Ukroboronprom", Oleg Vysotsky, Chairman of the Board of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, Chairman of the Directors Board of the Scientific-Production Association "Practice ", Anatoliy Melnichenko, Scientific secretary of the Igor Sikorsky Kyi Polytechnic Institute, the Dean of the Sociology and Law Faculty, the concern managers and employees, who will acquire new knowledge and skills in the new specialization.

Specialization " Management of the military-industrial complex " is open for the fulfillment of an agreement between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the concern. The agreement provides the organization of wide-ranging cooperation in the training of highly qualified specialists for the enterprises of DK "Ukroboronprom", first of all, the opening of a new master's program at the university.

"The training program for managers of the defense industrial complex is the result of long-term cooperation between Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the "Ukroboronprom" Concern. The university already has experience in implementing such programs. These are educational programs developed jointly with Progrestekh-Ukraine, Boeing and the Ministry of the Temporary Occupied Territories. At the same time, this Program is special, as it is totally oriented towards meeting the educational needs of the concern. It is aimed at ensuring the professionalization of managerial processes at the enterprises of "Ukroboronprom", — said Mikhail Zgurovsky, presenting the program. — The master's program was developed in close contact with the specialists of the concern. It is assumed that it will be implemented on the model of dual education. Not only the best representatives of the teaching staff of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute will be involved in the educational process but also representatives of the State Company "Ukroboronprom". 134 employees of the Concern have already registered for training under this program in general. "

So, according to the program of the next higher education (second highest) in the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute engineers and managers of enterprises and structural subdivisions of the State Enterprise "Ukroboronprom" will be studying as well as stuff from other enterprises of all forms of ownership, which work to strengthen the defense of Ukraine and are integral components of its defense-industrial complex. By the way, as Oleg Vysotsky noted, congratulating the first applicants of the master's degree on a new specialization, among them there are also 4 specialists from the Private Joint-Stock Company "Research and Production Association" Practice ".

"We are very grateful to the Igor Sikorsky Kiev Polytechnic Institute — one of the leading technical universities in Ukraine — for joining this process, — said Pavlo Bukin in his speech. — Recently, our "defense" was to a certain extent detached from science and modern educational programs. And we hope that the university will help us to bridge this gap. "

Educational, methodological and organizational support of the new master's program will be provided by the Faculty of Management and Marketing, the Faculty of Sociology and Law, the Faculty of Linguistics of the University, as well as the Educational Methodological Complex "Institute of Postgraduate Education", which works in the structure of Igor Sikorsky Kiev Polytechnic Institute, and subdivisions of the SC "Ukroboronprom". The Faculty of Management and Marketing will be the graduate faculty for the training of management specialists for the military-defense complex of the country. The term of masters training in this specialization will be 1 year 4 months, and their first issue will be in 2019.

Anatoly Melnichenko told the participants of the program opening about the features of the formation and implementation of the Program. He began with a brief definition of its purpose. It is "the preparation of management personnel capable of systematically and innovative thinking, making effective decisions, using modern management and marketing tools, and of performing high-level management functions in the defense-industry complex". For this purpose, the competences (ie knowledge and skills), which the students of the program are supposed to acquire under the new specialization, and the list of blocks of educational disciplines, which will help the students to acquire such competences, logically follow. This is not only purely managerial disciplines (project management, human resources management, strategic business management, management decision-making, management psychology), but also absolutely necessary for a modern highly skilled manager knowledges in finance and sustainable development, foreign language, global economy, management of foreign economic activity, international marketing of DMC products, customs, international contract law, commercial diplomacy, information security, etc.
