Participation of NTUU “KPI” in events devoted to Israeli Days of Culture in Ukraine

On February 13, 2013 the exhibition of works of Israeli artists “In the footsteps of Marc Chagall” took place at the hall of National Technical Library of NTUU “KPI”. Marc Chagall was a Russian artist of Jewish origin. He is recognized as one of the most significant painters and graphic artists, printmakers, and designers of the 20th century who had managed to combine ancient traditions of Judaic culture with actually modern innovation.

NTUU “KPI” took part in events being held in the frames of Israeli Days of Culture in Ukraine.

The Japanese New Year in Ukraine

The Ukrainian-Japanese center NTUU “KPI” regularly organizes events which are aimed for the acquaintance of Kiev citizens with the Japanese culture. There was a Japanese New Year holiday Motitsuki in the hall of the National-technical library NTUU “KPI” on the 3d of February 2013.

Japanese traditional art. “Peacefulness through a bowl of tea…”

On September 15, 2012 on occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Japan Mr. Sen Genshitsu, the grand tea master of the “Urasenke” tea ceremony school, conducted a demonstration of traditional ceremony of preparation and serving tea at the Culture and Arts Center of NTUU "KPI".

Visit of the popular Spanish master of book illustration to KPI itself is not accidental. The University trains both future engineers and book artists – they study in the NTUU "KPI" publishing and printing institute.

The movie of the graduate of KPI was awarded in Cannes!

This May the award of the international federation of film critics FIPRESCI of the 65th Cannes Film Festival was given to the movie "In fog" by the director Sergey Loznitsa. This movie is a joint product of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Germany and the Netherlands.
