In the summer of this year the NTUU "KPI" research library of professor G.I.Denisenko replenished at once with more than five hundred books. It is gift of the head editor of the "Kyiv Politekhnik" newspaper Vladimir Vasilyevich Yankovy.

The dark day of Chernobyl tragedy in 1986 goes farther and farther in history. Participants of those events are getting less and less and what is more the state isn’t enough concerned about them.
A club "Academy of youth" has been created in NTUU “KPI”.
On June 19-21, 2012, the Mediterranean Conference on Embedded Computing MECO-2012 was held in Bar (Montenegro). It brought together scientists from more than 30 countries. Our University was presented by the head of the department of computer engineering prof. O.M.Lysenko and his students – graduates E.V.Korotky, O.Yu.Romanov, A.Yu.Varfolomeev and senior lecturer O.I.Antonyuk.
Among the memorable and significant dates of our people is one, that cannot revoke the decree, or delete from memory, you cannot forget to jam current existence. This is 9 May , Victory Day.
Expansion of the training scale of specialists exacerbated personnel problem, required to improve the work of the teaching staff. At that time at the Institute there were worked such outstanding scientists: academicians K.K. Hrenov, N.N. Dobrokhotov, F.P. Belyankin, B.S.
For more than 110 years of history many scientists worked in "KPI" whose descendants continued the way of their parents, creating the dynasties of scientific and technical intelligentsia of Ukraine in whole and our university in particular.

October 28, 1944 the liberation of Ukraine from Nazi invaders was ended. It happened in the Carpathians, where the last Wehrmacht unit left our land under the onslaught of the troops of the 4th Ukrainian Front. The battle for the liberation of Ukraine lasted from December 1942.
