On August 30, 2018, a session of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” devoted to the 120th anniversary of the foundation of our university was held at the Center for Culture and Arts.
On September 1, one of the most important events in the life of the second year students of Institute of
Specialized Communication and Information Security of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor
Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute" took place. On the Square of Knowledge of the university, they swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people. 126 young soldiers joined the ranks of the State Service for Specialized Communication and Information Security of Ukraine.
The traditional holiday "Freshman’s Day" at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", which took place on August 31, was celebrated especially solemnly. One of the reasons for it is that the year 2018 is the year when the university celebrates 120-year anniversary since its foundation.
On August 30, there was held a solemn opening of the monument to the students and staff members of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
The beginning of the new 2018-2019 year is special for National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”: 120 years ago the first students started their studies here.
July 6, the hall of the Academic Council of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute held a solemn ceremony of closing and awarding the winners of the XIII Open International Student Olympiad in Programming named after S.O. Lebedev and V.M. Glushkov “KPI-OPEN 2018”
Ninety-five teams representing the universities of eight countries have signed up for the Thirteenth International Student Olympiad in Programming named after S.O. Lebedev and V.M.
On June, 25, Igor Sikorsky KPI and the State Enterprise “Plant 410 CA” and Corporation “Science Park” Kyivska Polytechnica” signed an agreement on strategic partnership.
At the meetings that took place on June 22, the results of studies of responsible officers and managers of defense industry enterprises under the program of advanced training “Management in the field of defense-industrial complex” at the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the Igor Sikorsky KPI were reviewed.
The laboratory “FablabKPI” was opened on 19, June, the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
