The Faculty of Biotechnology and Biotechnics of Igor Sikorsky KPI is 25 years old

📜A quarter of a century ago, KPI initiated the separation of biotechnology as a field of training for domestic specialists and was one of the first in Ukraine to begin teaching students in all major biotechnology specializations. Today, the FBT is a place where science becomes technology and works for bioenergy and environmental safety, developing domestic biopharmacy and bioengineering in our country.

Kyiv Polytechnic Institute received additional grant support from Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provided KPI with its second grant since the start of the full-scale war. In 2022, the university received its first emergency grant, which allowed it to quickly migrate its infrastructure to a cloud environment. At that time, digital services were operating in a partner environment provided by EPAM. Later, the university completely switched to its own AWS account.

Human capital plays a key role in cybersecurity

At the Kyiv International Forum on Cybersilience 2026, Serhii Konyushok, Deputy Head of the Institute (for Scientific Work) at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’s Institute of Cyber Security and Information Systems (ISZZI) outlined the key challenges in training personnel for the cybersecurity sector and presented practical approaches used by the Institute.
