September 22, in sports complex KPI Igor Sikorsky held a solemn opening of the rock climbing hall "KPIskelya". It will become a training base not only for the Kyiv Polytechnic National Team - anyone interested in climbing can do this.
“The third place” is a very popular concept today. It is a place where person wants to go rather than come back home. This is a place to which people hurry in after their work. Is a library a third place where anybody can find book, work or hobby?
On September, 21, the KPI was visited by the delegation of Technological University Cilu (People's Republic of China).
Team of Volleyball Veterans of Igor Sikorsky KPI, which has already won the Ukrainian Volleyball Cup among veterans in the nomination of 75+ in 2015 and 2016, proved to be the strongest this year, having won the final competitions of Ukrainian Cup in 2017.
On September, 19, 2017 Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute signed the agreement of cooperation
with Kyiv State Experimental Prosthetics-Orthopaedic Enterprise.
The exhibition of works by Venera Sabirova opened in the Picture Gallery of Igor Sikorsky KPI at the end of August. It presents more than 80 paintings, among them are landscapes, still-life paintings, abstracts etc.
On September 2, 2017, at the Znan Square, cadets of the 2nd year of the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky" swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people.

On September, 4 in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the KPI was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma “Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, a mantle and a memorial sign to the famous Polish scientist, rector of the Warsaw Polytechnic Jan Schmidt.
