The Memorandum of Understanding with the non-governmental organization «High Tech Embassy» (the State of Israel) was signed on the 11th of November in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The rector and the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine signed it on behalf of KPI, and the head of the management of the non-governmental organization «High Tech Embassy» David Arie signed it on behalf of this organization.
This document defines the main directions of cooperation between the university and the non-governmental organization, the head of which the director of the innovative company «TECH» at the same time. There are some goals which are set by the partners: -to promote the information about the scientific and technical potential of Ukraine and especially Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute all over the world; -to create the cluster «High Tech Embassy» which is based on KPI; -to found the RnD-center «High Tech Embassy» which is based on KPI and provides the cooperation between the academic, public, industrial and international organizations, including the private ones; -to promote the development of the international partnership between business and academic rounds and the universities of Ukraine, Israel and the whole world, etc.
«Several directions of cooperation are being planned. It is the cooperation with the academic structures of Ukraine, in the field of space explorations and, of course, the partnership for the startups’ support.
Nowadays the experience of KPI is noticeable in the innovative work. Other universities have already started to line up followed by you. Moreover, they are working very actively in this regard, as everyone fancies victory and the example of the Innovative environment of KPI and «Sikorsky Challenge» Festival, so everybody is eager to create something similar for themselves. And we are currently creating something like a foreign representation for this motion. That is why I am sure that we have a lot of work ahead of us, - David Arie said after signing the document. – Israeli universities are also joining us. We are currently forming the commission of experts from many spheres of industry and our universities. The will be choosing the projects and then will be representing them in our international centers we are going to open».
