3 August 2013, a solemn opening of the monument to the outstanding Polish physical chemist and statesman and alumni of KPI Wojciech Sventoslavsky (21.6 (3.7 ) .1881- 29.4.1968) was held near the building № 4 NTUU "KPI" .
On 29th August, it has been raining cats and dogs since the early morning, but even this fact could not stop the solemn ceremony of unveiling the memorial “New Prometheus”, which is situated on the Knowledge Square of NTUU “Kiev Polytechnic Institute”.

On July 18, 2013 National Technical University of Ukraine "Kiev Polytechnical Institute" was visited by the company “Rigaku Corporation” (Japan) delegation headed by the president Hikara Shimur.
The main purpose of the conference 'The methodology implementation experience of the of enterprises’ resource efficient and purer manufacture situated in Kyiv region' was the results discussion of enterprises’ and organizations’ activity in the Kyiv region within the frame of implementation the resource efficient and purer manufacture project under the direction of UN, namely UNIDO. UNIDO also initiates involving of new enterprises in this project. The host of the conference was The Resource Efficient and Purer Manufacture Centre (REPMC) established within the frame of this project with the purpose of servicing and organizational supporting the measures aiming to reduce resource consumption by the Ukrainian enterprises and increase competitive advantage.
On July 5th the solemn ceremony of closing and awarding winners of the VIII International Open Students’ Olympiad on programming named after S. О. Lebedev and V. M. Glushkov “KPI-Open 2013’ took place in the Academic Council Hall at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
3 July NTUU “KPI” was visited by the vice-chairman of Kyiv City Government Administration (KCGA) Ruslan Kramarenko along with the group of senior workers of KCGA and representatives of educational organization of the capital city.
