On March 14, 2018, the 1st stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline “Chemistry” was held among the students of the Igor Sikorsky KPI. The Olympiad was attended by 63 students who represented FCT, FCI, FBT, FBMI, IPSA and IEE.
The Ukrainian Rock Climbing Championship, 12th on the account, took place on February 23-25 in Kryvyi Rig (Bouldering type). These annual competitions take place once again at the Metallurg Stadium, where the ski lift is located in the supported building.
Recently were announced the winners of the city stage of the XVIII Peter Jacyk International Competition on the Ukrainian Language, which annually collects the best schools and universities students, cadets of military schools for the holiday of Ukrainian literature.
On December, 16, 2017, Kyiv City federation of sport tourism of Ukraine has presented the year results and has rewarded the leaders of work according to the results of work in 2017.
Tourist club “Globus” occupied the 1st place in 6 nominations out of 9 present:
"Inside Out" was organized by the students from the "Coliseum KPI" team headed by Mykyta Upatov. The project is created to help other KPIs projects that just started their way, to find companies and mentors who are ready to invest in ideas and youth.
In spring, was held the final stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of student's academic affairs on discipline "CAD and Computer Modeling in Mechanical Engineering".
On November 23-d, 2017 the X Olympiad on circuit theory was held. It has been organized by the Electronics Engineering Department of the Faculty of Electronics and is dedicated to the memory of Prof.
Six projects submitted by young scientists of the Igor Sikorsky KPI received the state funding according to the results of the competition, conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in 2017.
The aim of the project “ Artificial knee joint prosthesis with adaptive properties” is to fill the urgent need - rehabilitation of people with affected limbs. Particularly, the improvement and development of a fundamentally new adaptive domestic knee joint prosthesis is the main goal.
