Young scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute became new laureates of the President's Prize for Young Scientists in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of December 29, 2020 № 595/2020 "On awarding the President's Prize for Young Scientists 2020”:
Its core was established this year at the Paton Institute of Materials Science and Welding of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

The MASCOT module successfully completed a space mission and delivered soil to Earth from the asteroid Ryugu. Had Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute not made heat pipes for the device, “Hayabusa2” would not have been able to survey the asteroid for more than a year and collect samples.

With the help of modern radar stations, images of the earth's surface are obtained, which are used for weather forecasting, research of natural resources, geological exploration, monitoring of catastrophes, ecological pollution, etc.
According to the Rector’s order №7 / 162 from 09.09.2020 a new scientific and innovative platform “TechnoHUB KPI” will be developed in our University.
