"KPI-OPEN 2013" ended
On July 5th the solemn ceremony of closing and awarding winners of the VIII International Open Students’ Olympiad on programming named after S. О. Lebedev and V. M. Glushkov “KPI-Open 2013’ took place in the Academic Council Hall at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

Dear colleagues! On May 18th Ukraine celebrates the Knowledge day. It is not an exaggeration to say that this day is important to all of us, as nowadays science has became the main productive power that leads the world community to the heights of progress. Ukraine is also not an exception. Despite all the complications and difficulties, our scientists, technical workers and engineers play an extremely important role in providing the development of our country.
National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” is considered to be generally recognized as a leader of university science in Ukraine. It is a result of a great job, persistent search of verity and constant laborious research work of many generations of employees of our university. They not only preserve scientific traditions inherited from famous forerunners, but also develop and enrich them. The researches and scientific developments that are held at our university are always in the main stream of science and progress. They are always aimed at making people’s life better.
Celebrations on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Great Victory.
On the 7th of May at NTUU "KPI" was held a solemn meeting on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The participants of the Great Patriotic War - Kyiv Polytechnic Institute veterans - were gathered in the hall of the Academic Council; there they were warmly welcomed by the first pro-rector of NTUU "KPI", academic NAS of Ukraine Yuriy Yakymenko, a chairman of the trade union of the university employees Vitaliy Molchanov, a veteran of the World War II and long-term employee of the university Mykola Trykhlib, the head of the NGO "KPI Veteran" Yuriy Nesterenko and a cadet of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information of NTUU "KPI", a senior soldier Julia Popravko.
