The final game of the 17th championship between  universities  men's basketball teams at the Sport Complex of "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" was held on December 16. This championship is held under the auspices of Kyiv trade unions.

Before the Day of diplomatic service of Ukraine that is celebrated on 22 January, presentation of 17th edition of scientific yearbook "Diplomatic Ukraine" and a series of editions "The library of scientific yearbook "Diplomatic Ukraine" was hold in National technical university "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute".

On 22 December, a.i. director of State Enterprise "National power energy company "Ukrenergo", Vsevolod Kovalchuk delivered an open lecture "Smart Energy to/for Everyone" to power engineering students of Igor Sikorsky KPI.

In December 20, 2016 at the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” there was a significant event - the celebration of the 10th anniversary of its formation.

December 15 was closing ceremony of the competition/exhibition " KPI Talents" where all participants were appreciated and winners were awarded with diploma. The competition took place from 7 November to 15 December. 84 people took part in the competition.
