Top managers of the nuclear energy industry visited the Institute of IATS in mid-March, visited laboratories and the research center, got acquainted with innovative approaches to education, met with students, researchers and teaching staff of the Institute and discussed the importance of training highly qualified specialists for the energy industry. HR specialists of Energoatom noted the high level of knowledge and demand for graduates of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. 

Nuclear power and the nuclear industry have always been the most important components of Ukraine's economic, energy and environmental security. Today, the key issue for the development of this industry is personnel training. Among the three Ukrainian universities that directly train specialists for the nuclear power industry, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is the most powerful and stable, which is why the employment rate of its graduates exceeds 60%.

Chess is a game created by intellectuals for intellectuals, which is still played by serious, educated people with flexible and sharp minds. Therefore, the surge in chess tournaments of various levels at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, where polytechnics win prizes, has once again shown that people who belong to the top 5-7% of the world's population study and work at the university.

Kyiv Polytechnic students will be able to comprehensively study the entire air treatment system and manage ventilation systems on the basis of the newly created Scientific and Educational Laboratory “Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning”.

For two days in Kyiv Polytechnic 120 students from the capital competed for the championship in fast chess - blitzes and rapids.

In the future, joint actions of the parties will help reduce the shortage of qualified personnel at thermal power plants in the design, automation of processes, and maintenance of uninterrupted heat and power supply to various types of facilities in our country.

In early July 2024, the Summer School “Shaping the Urban Environment for Tomorrow” was held in the “smart shelter” of the Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. 

Representatives of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have once again joined the cohort of the best young scientists in the country. They adequately represented the university in the competition of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “Young Scientist of the Year 2023”. Three of them won in different nominations.

A year ago, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the finalists of the Educational Ambassadors of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences competition. Maria Gupalenko was among the bright, outstanding girls who presented their research achievements and demonstrated their intellectual and creative abilities.
