Vitaliy graduated from the Faculty of Electroacoustics in 1994 (now the Faculty of Electronics) with a degree in Radio Communications, Radio Broadcasting, and Television (video and sound engineer).
He had been a volunteer since 2014. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a volunteer. He served in the 130th separate territorial defense battalion. He participated in the defense of the Kyiv region, then in the battles for the liberation of the Kharkiv region.
He was seconded to the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Forces and carried out combat missions near Bakhmut. He was later transferred to the Ukrainian Marine Corps.
After that, he was a driver-electrician-sapper in the 2nd engineering and sapper unit of the 3rd battalion of unmanned systems (“Madjar's Birds”). He was killed near the village of Lisne, Ternuvatskaya settlement community, Zaporizhzhia region, while performing a combat mission.
He was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's “For Conscientious Service” and “For Preserving Life” medals, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine's “For Wounds” medal, and twice awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's “Golden Cross” medal.
The funeral will take place on December 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (Boyarka, 4 I. Franko St., St. Michael's Church), followed by burial at approximately 1:00 p.m. in the Alley of Heroes of the Boyarka City Cemetery (Shevchenko St.).
