In the future, joint actions of the parties will help reduce the shortage of qualified personnel at thermal power plants in the design, automation of processes, and maintenance of uninterrupted heat and power supply to various types of facilities in our country.

Representatives of PJSC ‘Centrenergo’ are convinced that Kyiv Polytechnic is one of the best Ukrainian universities with a strong scientific potential for training professional specialists in the energy sector.

‘We need engineers, specialists in the heat and power industry. We know what experience Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has in this area, so we have applied with a proposal to train personnel. We are ready to provide practical training for students and graduates and to provide the sites of our TPPs for the training work that the university needs. Today, professional education and practice in real production conditions will help us build our future,’ said Yevhenii Harkavyi, CEO of PJSC Centrenergo.

Kyiv Polytechnic and PJSC ‘Centrenergo’ plan to cooperate in dual education and create new educational programmes, as well as involve students in real-world training, for example, at the Trypillia TPP.

‘Energy is now one of the key backbone industries for the Ukrainian economy. That is why we want to cooperate with Centrenergo to improve the quality of training of our students, for example, through dual education, to introduce them to new technologies in the energy sector and implement them here,’ said Anatoliy Melnychenko, Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

It is planned to train practitioners who are ready for the challenges of today:

📌 Educational and Research Institute of Nuclear and Thermal Energy (Institute of IATE);
📌 Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management (Institute of IEE);
📌 Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Automation (FEA).

Students and scientists of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics and Technology (Institute of FTI) will also be involved in the work, where they are already working on training specialists in cyber defence of critical infrastructure. More information about further cooperation can be found in the video.
