At the Department of High-Temperature Materials and Powder Metallurgy, Senior Lecturer, Ph.D. Iiyna Yuriivna Trosnikova, and Senior Researcher, Ph.D. Yevhen Vasylovych Solodkyi created new superhard ceramic materials, based on tungsten carbide, boron suboxide and molybdenum borides, for operation in extreme conditions

Congratulations to the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute staff, who are awarded the President of Ukraine for young scientists prize in 2017 by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 458/2017 dated December 29, 2017:

In October, the International Metallurgical Forum “Science and Innovation” was held in Kyiv. Its organizers were NAS of Ukraine, Smart Holding, Metinvest Group, Interpipe, ArcelorMittal, and “Eurasia”.

On November 15 was held the grand opening of the monumental composition “Evolution of Cognition” near the entrance gate of the University on the side of Yangel Street.

On November, 10, the KPI was visited by the Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine Pavlo Degtyarenko and his adviser Eduard Kuznetsov.

Thirty years in the field of invention

On 25 May, in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute, representatives of “HITACHI High-Technologies Corporation” Tomomi Okada and Atsushi Hama presented electronic microscope “Hitachi Tabletop Electron Microscope TM3030” and delivered two lectures or to be more exact two workshops on its application.

April 6–7th, 2017 in Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, located in Bishkek, (Kyrgyzstan) ІІ International student scientific conference "Deutsch und Technik" was carried out. The students from three countries, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, were taking part in it.

According to the decree of President of Ukraine dated April, 7, 2017, №101/2017 «On conferring state prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology 2016”, the following Kyiv polytechnic s became new laureates:

November 21, 2016 Prilutsky Mikhail Ivanovich - deputy head of the department of physical and chemical bases of technology of metals, Senior Lecturer - celebrated his 80th anniversary. And soon turns 60, he crossed the threshold of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute.
