On April 25 Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by a delegation of representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt led by the Minister for Public Sector Companies Khalid Bedavi.
It consisted of Advisor to the Minister for Investments and Restructuring Usama Ezzo and the head of the office of Minister Daliya Tadros. In addition, the guests of the visit were also the general director of the UNZK "Vazhmashimpeks" Yevgen Kozik and others.
The purpose of the visit of representatives of the real sector of economy of Egypt was to get acquainted with the University and its achievements in the field of physics of metals and metallurgy.
The guests were met by the pro-rector on International Relations Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Serhiy Sydorenko, the Director of the University Center for International Education Volodymyr Koval, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics Petro Loboda, the head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity Andriy Shisholin, employees of IFF and the Department of International Cooperation.
Sergiy Sydorenko made for the representatives of industry of the ARE a presentation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Volodymyr Koval spoke about the possibilities of studying at the university for citizens of foreign countries. After that the members of the delegation had a tour of the university. They also inspected the exposition of the State Polytechnic Museum of Ukraine and of the Department of Aviation and Cosmonautics. In addition, guests from Egypt visited the Faculty of Engineering and Physics where they could see with their own eyes where the future engineers and metallurgists study, they could examine the laboratories and their equipment and get acquainted with the research activities of the faculty and its results.
