Students of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics participated in the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists, Cadets and Students “Problems and Prospects for the Development of the Safety System of Life”, which took place March 22-23, 2018 in the Lviv State University of Safety of life.
The conference was attended by 98 students and students from eight higher educational institutions of Ukraine and Poland.
The National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” was represented by students of the second year of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics Roman Pedan and Roman Legeza (FM-61). The results of their research were highly appreciated at the stage of the preliminary review and included in the list of reports that were heard at the plenary session.
The scientific work of our students was devoted to the application of automated geometric modeling and additive technologies in the development of models and the production of universal signaling device and personal protective equipment. They conducted their research under the direction of D.Sc., Professor of the Department of Descriptive Geometry, Engineering and Computer Graphics O.M. Gumen while working in the student's scientific circle “Computer modeling of technical objects”.
The materials of the work were presented in the section “Information technologies and project management and programs in the field of safety of life”, and invoked the interest of the present.
Participation in such conferences expands students' outlook and allows them to apply the acquired knowledge of the disciplines in practice. Students R. Pedan and R. Legeza plan to continue to work on the chosen scientific subjects in the field of computer modeling of objects and promote further development of the faculty and the university as a whole.
