On the 7th of May at NTUU "KPI" was held a solemn meeting on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The participants of the Great Patriotic War - Kyiv Polytechnic Institute veterans - were gathered in the hall of the Academic Council; there they were warmly welcomed by the first pro-rector of NTUU "KPI", academic NAS of Ukraine Yuriy Yakymenko, a chairman of the trade union of the university employees Vitaliy Molchanov, a veteran of the World War II and long-term employee of the university Mykola Trykhlib, the head of the NGO "KPI Veteran" Yuriy Nesterenko and a cadet of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information of NTUU "KPI", a senior soldier Julia Popravko.

On April, 25 two hundred and fifty finalists of Ukraine defense of scientific researches, students of Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in front of the main building of NTUU " KPI" released into the sky colored balloons with tied to them names of their inventions.

To scientists, engineers, inventors, creators of new technical equipment and new technologies, to all employees of Kiev Polytechnic Institute!

On April 10, 2014, the NTUU “KPI” Staff Conference took place in the University Culture and Arts Centre.

The opening ceremony of the Ukrainian-Norvegian remote training centre took place on April 24 at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

On the 24th of April the scientific and technical centre, established with the assistance and direct involvement of the company “ABB in Ukraine”, was formally opened at the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automatics.

On the 23rd of April the XII International scientific and technical conference “Engineering: situation and perspectives” started its work in NTUU “KPI”. 424 representatives of 73 manufacturing enterprises, universities, academic and research institutes of specific branches from 24 cities of Ukraine, Austria, Germany, Malaysia, Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Belarus and other countries take part in this conference.

April 22, 2013 National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" was visited by President of Winnipeg University (Canada), Professor Lloyd Axworthy.

NTUU "KPI" hosted a meeting in the frame of Round Table "Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and dual-use expertise, reorientation and prevention." The Round table was organized by the Ukrainian Scientific-Technological Center and the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA).
