The world-famous scientist ,who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry ( 2001 ) ,the President of the Japanese Institute of Physical and Chemical Research «RIKEN» Dr. Rodzhi Noyori visited NTUU "KPI" on July 23, 2013.The visit of the leading Japanese scholar to the KPI was organized with the assistance of Toichi Sakata, the Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine, who also took part in it. The guests visited the research libraries and the Ukrainian - Japanese Center of NTUU " KPI" , alley of the monuments to the famous scientists and designers whose creative activity began in KPI or was connected with it.
They also visited the State Polytechnic Museum at NTUU "KPI". After getting acquainted with the university the delegation had a with his leadership the delegation give consideration to the cooperation. The meeting was attended by the Rector of NTUU "KPI" National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Mikhail Zgurovsky , Vice Rector of the International Cooperation Corresponding Member of NAS of Ukraine Sergey Sidorenko , the manager of the Ukrainian - Japanese Center of NTUU " KPI" Osama Midzutani , Deputy Vice Rector Vladimir Timofeev , Deputy Rector for Research Valery Barbash ,the representatives of the number of institutions and departments. During the meeting the participants were interchanging their views concerning the current state of the scientific and economic exchanges between Ukraine and Japan , discussing the cooperation between NTUU "KPI" and the Institute «RIKEN».
