Jubilee

Anatoliy Ivanovich was born on 3 November 1935 in the town Voitivka (Khmelnitsky region). In 1957 he graduated with honors from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, specialty "Electronic devices".

On September 23 this year an old friend of our University Mr. Janusz Fuksa was 80. Considering the outstanding scientific achievements and significant contribution to the cooperation of the Kyiv Technical Institute Students Section in Poland with NTUU"KPI", on September 1, 2014 the Academic Council of the University made Janusz Fuksa the "Honorary Doctor of" KPI".

Ukraine celebrated the Printer’s Day, in the late May and almost at once the Journalist’s Day. Only a few people know that in May students of KPI can celebrate another date, that is, the foundation of KPI publisher.

May 12 marks 80 years to the head of the accreditation Department, NTUU "KPI" Vladimir Efimovich Ugolnikov.

March 19 at the Conference Hall of the Academic Council NTUU "KPI" it was held the solemn evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding musician of the twentieth century Sviatoslav Richter (03.20.1915 - 01.08.1997).

Department of the Ukrainian language, literature and culture of our university is unique, because it is the first of Ukrainian Department of technical universities in Ukraine. It was created in 1989.

Professor Vladimir Vasilyevich Khilchevsky celebrates his 90th birthday. All his labor activity is connected with our university. Returning from the war and going through long medical treatment he was enrolled in 1946 in Mechanical Faculty of KPI (specialty “Automobiles and tractors”).

 November 13, 2014 – 100 years since the birth of  the chief designer of space technologies Georgiy Mykolayovich Babakin – corresponding member of Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Hero of socialist labour, laureate of Lenin Prize.
