In this way, many fans and colleagues talk about the recent performance of the National Ensemble of Folk Dance of KPI “Polytechnic” on a city review-competition of folk art, where our dancers took first place. This present the members of the creative team made for them and all of us for the jubilee - because this year they celebrate their 70th anniversary.

In the folk dances as well as in songs the character, tenacity and mentality of the folk are displayed. In recent years, folk legacy is becoming increasingly popular. Often even corporate events invit folk groups who organize workshops. In KPI it is not far to seek. Over the years of the existence of the folk dance ensemble thousands of fans - students and university teachers – have been studying here the art of plastic rhythmic movements. A huge number of awards, diplomas and certificates are stored in the archive of the ensemble, and touring and travel geography covers many cities in Ukraine and abroad.

Recently, the band has got a new leader – a choreographer Uliana Zaharova. Her purpose is to study and preserve national traditions and rituals of Ukrainian people, creating on this basis folk dances. Within two months Uliana showed her mastery, breathing new life into the team. After preparing for the city competition intensely and passionately, in record time completely updating the repertoire, sewing the costumes by themselves doing other things, they obtained cherished victory.

This young girl like a magnet attracts talented energetic young people who love and respect their charismatic, inflammatory leader with great imagination. Each her performance is not only professional mastery and original interpretation of folk dance but also a small play, elegant, dynamic and bright that does not leave the audience indifferent. We wish the dance ensemble further success and victories in Ukraine and abroad. Keep it up!
