On October 11, 2012 representatives of the European Commission Ms. Petra Püchner, Managing Director of Steinbeis-Europa–Zentrum, an expert on technology transfer and innovation, and Mr. Michal Hrabi, Start-up program Manager, South Moravian Innovation Centre (“European Business and Innovation Centre Network”) visited NTUU “KPI”.

Visit of the popular Spanish master of book illustration to KPI itself is not accidental. The University trains both future engineers and book artists – they study in the NTUU "KPI" publishing and printing institute.

Center of X-ray analysis NTUU "KPI" – "RIGAKU" is opened
On September 7, 2012, Educational Scientific Center of x-ray analysis NTUU "KPI" – "RIGAKU" was opened in NTUU "KPI". Today it is the most advanced center of x-ray diffraction in Ukraine. It is equipped with x-ray diffractometer "Ultima IV" produced in Japanese corporation "RIGAKU."

On May 16-19, 2012 in Tirana (Albania), on the basis of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, the Forum "Academic Cooperation for Peace and Welfare in the Mediterranean and Black Sea Region", organized by the Black Sea region Universities Network (BSUN) with engineering schools of Mediterranean region and the UN program "Academic assistance" was held.
