In spring, was held the final stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of student's academic affairs on discipline "CAD and Computer Modeling in Mechanical Engineering".

Promoting the placement of graduates along with professional orientation has always been and is an important part in the work of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering and Igor Sikorsky Kiev Polytechnic Institute as a whole.

Student tournament on natural sciences had been passing from April 3 to April 7, 2017 in Minsk (Belarus). It was named STNSD (Student tournament of natural science disciplines).

On September 22-27, 2017, was held the 29th European Union Young Scientists' Contest (EUCYS-2017) in Tallinn, the most prestigious competition for winners of national competitions.

September 22, in sports complex KPI Igor Sikorsky held a solemn opening of the rock climbing hall "KPIskelya". It will become a training base not only for the Kyiv Polytechnic National Team - anyone interested in climbing can do this.
