Department of Sport Improvement of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” turned 20 in autumn 2016. The teachers of the department at the meeting on the results of 2016 decided to celebrate the anniversary by successful results of the next 2017 especially by the performance of the teams in the Universiada of Kyiv city. And here are the results of 2017.
The department received from Kyiv City Department of Physical Education the final protocol of the results of the XIII Summer Universiada of Kyiv, in which during 2016/2017 25 higher educational establishments of Kyiv took part at 14 kinds of sport. Students of our university included into the teams participated in competitions in almost all sports. The winners were awarded in autumn.
In the category of non-sporting universities our university got the first place and became the second in the overall ranking! We are happy to congratulate on this event the pedagogical staff of the Department of Sport Improvement and the winning teams of the Universiada! In general, only the "professionals" of the sport students of the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine, who scored 6426 points got more points than the students of our university who scored 4942 points, the third was Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University with 2651 points.
