Master classes on making Ukrainian wreaths and decorative panels, planting viburnum and dancing - this is how Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute joined the celebration.

Every year on the third Thursday of May we celebrate Vyshyvanka Day. This year it falls on the 19th. The holiday is aimed to preserve Ukrainian traditions and promote them within the general public.

The anthem of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen "Oh, the red viburnum in the meadow" performed by the concertmasters of the National Bandurist Capella of the Cultural Arts Center of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Kateryna Mozgova and Olena Mozgova.

Four teams took part in the competition: students of the university, students - territorial defense volunteers, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute veterans and police. With the war, the varsity team did not play in full, and the territorial defenders made their debut in the tournament.

Student volunteers support the initiative to save animals from liberated towns and villages of Kyiv region where there were fights. The university has set up a shelter for dogs and cats. Now paws are fed and treated. Student volunteers are on duty near animals day and night.

On April 29, a student space Belka hosted another training in premedical care with the participation of Hanna Mayboroda, a trainer from MED.PATRIOT crisis center for civil and military medicine.

Today, April 28, FSP organized and held an event that is extremely important for the development of educational opportunities, multicultural relations and scientific communication.

The students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have planted saplings in the square on Polytechnichna Street.

Kyiv Polytechnicians handed over humanitarian aid to residents of Bucha and Irpin. This is the third trip after the liberation of cities from russian occupiers.

Volunteers note that Irpin and Bucha are in dire need of medicines and food.

A temporary shelter for animals evacuated from Kyiv region is being set up in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The shelter will work at the university until the end of hostilities in Ukraine.
