The students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have planted saplings in the square on Polytechnichna Street.
This is not the first year that student volunteers have been actively greening the territory of the university. Last autumn more than five hundred maples, birches and spruces were planted, and this year the number of trees will go up to eight hundred.
The square will soon be transformed into a new student park with benches, alleys and public lighting.
