Today, April 28, FSP organized and held an event that is extremely important for the development of educational opportunities, multicultural relations and scientific communication. A roundtable meeting "National and international instruments to repel armed aggression against Ukraine" with international participation was held online.
It was joined not only by students of FSP, but also students and graduate students of other faculties of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (such as IEE, FIOT), as well as a Turkish university. During the first hour and a half, Zoom had 100 participants and more wanted to join.
The dean of the FSP Yana Tsymbalenko opened the meeting. She greeted the participants of the event and emphasized the importance and urgency of holding such events at an extremely difficult time for our country.
After the opening, the audience listened to the speeches of speakers who discussed the acute issues and problems of russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as expressed solidarity and support for our country during the war.
The program of the roundtable meeting included reports on the following topics:
1. The role of flexible alliances of states in support of Ukraine, their main advantages in the crisis of the global system of international security. Speaker: Vadym Olehovych Chernysh (Ukraine), Chairman of the State Agency on issues of Donbas Restoration (from June 26, 2015 to August 29, 2019), Minister of Ukraine for the Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons (from April 14, 2016 to August 29, 2019), lawyer, member of non-governmental expert organizations, Head of the Governing Council of Center for Security Studies "CENSS", Ph.D. in law.
2. Deviance in American Culture: Media Representations vs. Reality. Speaker: Kenneth Laundra (USA), Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Millikin University.
3. The aggressive nature of the moscow orthodox church, its role in the war. Speaker: Nicolas Imbert (France) is a laureate of the Bruno Etienne Prize, PhD in Sociology, a graduate of the EPHE, HISTAR Laboratory and the Higher School of Practical Research, and the Paris Institute of Political Science.
4. Turkey-Ukraine academic mobility opportunities announcement. Speaker: Cantürk Caner (Turkey), Associate Professor, DPU, Department of Political Science and International Relations, vice president of European Union Application and Research Center.
5. The word as a weapon. The role of anti-war narratives and poetry in opposing russian aggression. Speaker: Vanja Angelova (Bulgaria), Professor at "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" University of Veliko Tarnovo, member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Arts, The Union of Bulgarian Writers.
6. Introduction to the Foundations of Geopolitics. Speaker: Chris Weston (UK - Poland) - Doctor of Philosophy, Consultant in Business Analysis and Risk Management.
7. Ukrainian refugees in Spain: incorporation into the labour market. Speaker: Lucía Aragüez Valenzuela (Spain) - Lecturer and Lawyer, Doctor of Philosophy in Labor Law and Technology (Department of Labor Law and Social Security, University of Malaga).
8. Threats to information security of the individual. Speaker: Rybalchenko Oleh Mykolayovych (Ukraine) - graduate student of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of FSP of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
