This year is the 25th anniversary of the founding of the National Space Agency of Ukraine and 20 years of space flight of the first astronaut of independent Ukraine Leonid Kadeniuk within the programme of  Ukrainian-American mission STS-87.

On the occasion of the "Year of Japan in Ukraine" dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Japan, a variety of events is being held all over Ukraine. They help to get acquainted with the culture and philosophy of Land of the Rising Sun.

Second day of Forum of rectors of higher technical educational establishments of Ukraine and Poland was devoted to discussion of problems the most important for both countries. These discussions were held as seven round tables.
