At modern IT companies graduates of the FTI are strongly required. Foundamental education of basic knowledge and modern special knowledges will let them work at world-known corporations, state enterprises and private companies. Student of the sixth course Dmutro Progonov and student of the 5th course Olexander Kornienko are specialists in technical defence of the information. They are the best students of the FTI and they are grant holders of the head of the university.

On the 22-23rd of April 2013, The International Scientific and Practical Conference II “Descriptive Geometry, Design and Intellectual Property Items” for students, post-graduated students and young researchers was held at the Department of Descriptive Geometry, Engineering and Computer Graphics

The exhibition of paintings was opened by a Society of artist of Ukraine, Society of architecs of Ukraine of honored artist of Ukraine and honourable citizen of Vyschgorod Vasyliy Volodimorovich Klymyka in the Art Gallery NTU “KPI” on 14th May 2013.

Tobacco was brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus. At the beginning tobacco was attributed with healing properties but in Turkey, Britain and Russia in the XVII century was accepted the law providing strict punishmentv for people who smoke tobacco.

If to talk about the present time, in the United States and in the coutries of Western Europe and America observed a sharp tendency toward smoking restrictions. In Ukraine there is a low which prohibit smoking in public places. It is not allowed to smoke in elevator, in payphones, in institutions of healthy care, in educational and correctional institutions,at the playgrounds, in the entrance of residential houses and in public transport including trains.

The XV International Science and Technology Conference "System Analysis and Information Technologies" (SAIT 2013) opened in the NTUU "KPI" on 28 May.

On October 27, 2013, a tournament on mini-football the Cup of Trade Unions, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the trade union organization of the KPI was held on the green field of the Center of Physical Education and Sports NTUU "KPI".

The staff of the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory for many years has been successfully engaged in the organization of mathematical competition in our university and training of talented students to math competitions at various levels.

On April 18, 2013 the Readings in Memory of Honored Scientist of Ukraine Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor Arthur Veniamynovych Prakhovnik were held at the Institute for Energy Saving and Energy.

The University Academic council meeting took place on 14th May 2014.
