Vadym studied at the Faculty of Welding of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity.
In 2014, at the beginning of russian aggression, he joined the Aidar Battalion to defend Ukraine.
He died from a shell explosion while guarding the Luhansk power station in the city of Shchastia on January 31, 2015. He was 21 years old.
Vadym was awarded the Order for Courage of 3rd degree posthumously.
A commemorative plaque to the student of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Vadym Zherebylo was put up on the building of Y. O. Paton Educational and Research Institute of Materials Science and Welding.
