Training at the World Data Center

 Modern development of the country requires using of new technologies in space monitoring of the Earth and geospatial data collection in order to meet social needs, national security and defense and so on. It was marked in the project Space activities strategy of Ukraine till 2022.

Igor Sikorsky KPI scientists and ISR of UNAS- NSAU work on shared Research and Education Center of Space Research and Technologies

Scientists of Institute of Space Research (ISR) of Ukrainian National Academy of Science (UNAS) and National Space Agency of Ukraine (NSAU) together with representatives of scientific schools and NTUU "Igor Sikorsky KPI" administration discussed at the meeting that took place in the university, on 13th December, the issue of cooperation development and creation of common Scientific and Educational Center of Space Research and Technologies.

Michael Nobel visited NTUU "Igor Sikorsky KPI"

Professor Michael Nobel - member of Alfred Nobel family, the founder of the most prestigious award in the world that is given annually for scientific achievements in physics, chemistry physiology or medicine as well for significant contribution into the world literature and piece building visited Igor Sikorsky KPI on 19th of September. The outstanding Austrian surgeon of Ukrainian descent, Mykola Korban was on a visit together with Michael Nobel.

Public lecture of academician Zhurovskyi (video)

On November, 12th Mykhailo Zhurovskyi, rector of NTUU “KPI”, academician of National Academy of Science of Ukraine, gave a public lecture “Foresight of economy of Ukraine in medium-term and long-term (up to 2030) time perspective” for students and lecturers of the Faculty of Management and Marketing of NTUU “KPI”.

World Data Center began the distance learning

The first group of students, who are employees of public authorities, starts training in the field of geoinformation technologies. This training is carried out on the basis of the World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development.
