Department of Theoretical Electric Engineering (TOE) - is one of the largest and oldest units of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", which provides basic and vocational-oriented electrical training.
On October 12, 2017, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Kyiv to a prominent scientist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), professor Ivan Myronovych Chyzhenko, who for almost 40 years was the head of the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering
