50 years ago, on October 26, 1972, Igor Ivanovych Sikorsky, a legendary aircraft designer from Kyiv who became a pioneer of domestic aviation at the beginning of the 20th century, passed away in the USA.
Mykhailo Zgurovsky, in cooperation with the ArtEk (ArtEc) publishing house, designed a unique publication dedicated to the pioneers of aircraft and rocketry. These people are part of the history of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

Ivan I. Drong (12.04.1907 - 11.12.1993) - a graduate of the KPI 1931, tractor equipment designer, winner of two State Prizes of the USSR, the chief designer of the Minsk Tractor Plant, under whose leadership a world-renowned family of tractors "Belarus" was created.
