Our university continues to work on the restoration of our defenders together with the Charitable Foundation “Center for Complex Endoprosthetics, Osteointegration and Bionics” and the Public Union “Center for Interdisciplinary Basic and Applied Human Research”.

This is already the IV international scientific and practical conference organised by the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering (‘FBMI’) of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The scientific student group “Experimental Research of New Materials and Biomechanical Systems”, which operates at the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Resistance of Materials of the Educational and Research Mechanical Engineering Institute, is an example of the important work of young scientists and students in creating prostheses for wounded soldiers and anyone who needs surgery to restore mobility.

At the initiative of the National Council of Sports Rehabilitation of Defenders of Ukraine, the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is introducing a training course “Adaptive trainer-instructor for military personnel, war veterans and their families” as part of the work of the Training and Innovation Cent

A specialized center in the village of Zgurivka, Brovary district, which was opened and operates with the participation of a PhD student of the FBMI, provides free rehabilitation and physical comfort services to military personnel who have been injured in the upper and lower extremitie

This year, the Training and Innovation Center for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation (Center) was launched at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on the basis of the Institute of Postgraduate Education (IPE).
