This research group was created by the Americans to provide grant, educational, and innovative support to Ukrainian universities in the areas of security, physical and psychological health rehabilitation. Wilma Elisa Fuentes, Programme Director of the Ukraine Task Force (UTF), came to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to evaluate the work of the university in these areas, share her own experience and discuss areas of joint work.

📌 the position of Assistant Rector for Veterans Affairs was created at the university;
The Training and Innovation Centre for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation operates on the basis of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to train future rehabilitation specialists who will provide quality medical and psychological support to veterans, and will soon create high-tech prostheses that will allow Ukrainians to live without restrictions;
📌 the Science Park of Additive Technologies and Rehabilitation will start operating this year.
‘Today it is extremely important to implement projects for veterans, to create a full-fledged inclusive space at our university. And we are already working on it. This is important not only for war veterans but also for all people with disabilities,‘ said Andrii Havrushkevych, Assistant Rector for Veterans’ Affairs at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The parties also discussed other relevant projects for cooperation, such as rehabilitation of the deaf and new methods of water purification in combat zones. The goal is to bring our victory closer together and make education and life in Ukraine accessible and inclusive!
