Our university is working on an important project to introduce CAD/CAM technologies in orthopedics and rehabilitation engineering to help children affected by the military conflict.
This initiative, which is being implemented by the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering (FBME) in cooperation with the Okhmatdyt Hospital and specialists from the Poznan University of Technology, has attracted the attention of our potential partners from the United States - 🇺🇸, the charitable organization Elevate Ukraine and the Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation, whose representatives recently visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
📌 development of technologies, design of prostheses and auxiliary devices for pediatric needs;
📌 creation of a modern pediatric prosthetic laboratory: 3D scanners, printers, workstation, modeling software, etc;
professional consulting in the field of pediatric prosthetics and assistive technologies;
📌 development of international cooperation in pediatric rehabilitation engineering;
📌 search for humanitarian organizations and grants to finance the project.
Cooperation is extremely important, as it will help optimize the process of children's prosthetics and make it as accessible as possible.
