At a meeting of the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Oleksandr Dmytrovych Mokhunko—a senior lecturer in the Department of Health and Sports Technologies (FBMI) and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war—was awarded the Honorary Distinction of the University’s Academic Council.
🇧🇬 Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) welcomed an important guest—Kiril Petkov, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, politician, economist, and entrepreneur.
📜A quarter of a century ago, KPI initiated the separation of biotechnology as a field of training for domestic specialists and was one of the first in Ukraine to begin teaching students in all major biotechnology specializations. Today, the FBT is a place where science becomes technology and works for bioenergy and environmental safety, developing domestic biopharmacy and bioengineering in our country.
A ceremony was held to honor the nominees and winners of the student essay contest “Startup Diplomacy: Ukraine and Azerbaijan in Building Innovation Partnership,” organized with the support of the 🇦🇿 Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provided KPI with its second grant since the start of the full-scale war. In 2022, the university received its first emergency grant, which allowed it to quickly migrate its infrastructure to a cloud environment. At that time, digital services were operating in a partner environment provided by EPAM. Later, the university completely switched to its own AWS account.

This year, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Atomic and Thermal Power Engineering (IATE Institute), established on the basis of the Faculty of Thermal Power Engineering at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI), celebrates its 95th anniversary.
Igor Sikorsky KPI became the venue and an active participant in the “Safety Distance” event, which focused on the use of remote systems for detecting explosive objects in mine action. Such technologies minimize risks to people and speed up the survey of territories.
