So it makes sense that this is where the finals of the 5th All-Ukrainian Engineering Hackathon SmaRTF took place—an event that was not just another competition, but a true symbol of our times, in which technical thinking takes on strategic importance.
Department of Rare and Valuable Documents of the H.I. Denisenko Scientific and Technical Library is 10 years old!
The H.I. Denisenko Scientific and Technical Library comprises many important departments that provide ongoing, high-quality support for the university’s educational and research activities. Some departments have existed since the university’s inception, while others were established quite recently. Among the latter is the Department of Rare and Valuable Documents. In late fall 2025, it celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Andriy Makarchuk: “Comprehensive communication always yields results”
At the end of last year, the Ministry of Education and Science issued an order on the awarding of the President of Ukraine’s academic scholarships to graduate students for the 2025/2026 academic year. These scholarships will be awarded to candidates with outstanding scientific or academic achievements as an incentive for their work and motivation to achieve high results. Among the recipients is Andriy Makarchuk, an assistant professor in the Department of Software Engineering in Energy at the Institute of IATE.
All-Ukrainian Creative Works Competition for Integrity Week 2025
At the end of last year, our university hosted the All-Ukrainian Creative Works Competition for the second time, dedicated to fostering a culture of integrity and combating corruption. This project, organized by the Authorized Officer for the Prevention and Detection of Corruption at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in collaboration with the Faculty of Sociology and Law, ran from October 10 to December 9, 2025, and was open to students from higher education institutions across Ukraine.
Cogeneration as part of engineering education: KPI launches a training course within the Energy Resilience Lab with the participation of RSE
Starting next semester, Igor Sikorsky KPI will introduce a training course on cogeneration, integrated into the educational programs for training power engineers. The training course was developed in partnership with the engineering company RSE and will be implemented at the Energy Resilience Lab, a laboratory for autonomous and sustainable energy supply.
