In the project “What Should I Read Next?” Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute students will talk about books that have affected their consciousness.

Rotary e-Club Ukraine and RC Kyiv-City donated valuable books to G.I.Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

As part of the tradition, G.I.Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” organized the writing of the All-Ukrainian dictation of national unity at the University.

The holiday program included the installation “Living Library” near the Foucault Pendulum; the “Secret Book” campaign at the library hall; a flash mob “Fly, live with the KPI Library”; a public report of the library and photo challenge on Facebook from the Ukrainian Library Association “Library is your pivot”. 

The history of the library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute dates back more than a century. Many unique rarities have been preserved here. A fund of rare and valuable documents has been formed for ten years. One of the fund's collections is especially valuable.

The library of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was replenished not only by purchasing books and periodicals, but also by gifts. One of such gifts is books from Professor I.I. Rachmaninoff's own library.

On May 17, 2021, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took place. Chairman Mykhailo Ilchenko headed the session.

The Department of rare and valuable documents of G. I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute stores not only books on natural and technical sciences. There are also philosophical, socio-economic publications and fiction.

An essential component of educational and research activities is the search, selection, and evaluation of information.  This work takes a lot of time, especially evaluating the information found because the Internet places both reliable, relevant, and high-quality information content.

Ten years ago, the Department of rare and valuable documents, which fund began to collect old books, was created at G. I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
